Patriots Vs. Jaguars: Pats' Offense Continues To Show Depth In Third Quarter

The New England Patriots’ offense showed encouraging depth in the third quarter of their preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The Patriots exited the third quarter with a 33-9 lead over the Jaguars.

Rookie quarterback Ryan Mallett took the reigns at the top of the second half, and showed a nice level of mobility and an eagerness that translated to many offensive opportunities for the Patriots.

Stevan Ridley continued having an impressive game, as he had two touchdowns in the third quarter. Ridley scooted around the Jaguars defense to get a one yard touchdown on the Patriots’ first possession of the third. He then connected with Mallet for a 16 yard receiving touchdown near the close of the quarter.
