Bruins Extend Adam McQuaid Through 2015

Adam McQuaid, who had as strong a rookie season as any member of the Black and Gold in 2010-11, has been rewarded for his efforts with a three-year contract extension, reportedly signed today.

The Bruins also signed forward Craig Cunningham and defenseman Zack McKelvie to deals. Although terms of those deals weren't released, it's safe to assume that they're two-way deals on the entry level plain.

McQuaid, who played his first full season with Boston last year, proved to be a force on the blue line - overmatched at times, but never outplayed or outworked, and never afraid to drop the gloves and make a statement on behalf of his team.

The Prince Edward Island native had 3-12=15 totals on the season, registering a plus-30 in 67 regular season games. Despite seeing a reduction in ice time during the playoffs, McQuaid still added four assists in 23 games during the Bruins' run to the Stanley Cup.
