Josh Beckett, who was scheduled to pitch in the second inning of the 2011 MLB All-Star Game, was scratched from his appearance after feeling something in his left knee during warm-ups.
According to reports, Beckett attempted to warm up for his appearance, but felt that something was off in his left knee, and he and the American League pulled the plug.
Beckett is 8-3 with a 2.27 ERA and 94 strikeouts in 17 games for Boston.
