Geoffrey Mutai of Kenya was the winner of the 2011 Boston Marathon on Monday, edging countryman Moses Musop with a time of 2:03:02, which is not just a Boston record, but also the fastest marathon ever run. Caroline Kilel (2:22:36) claimed the women's title, with American Desire Davila finishing second. Ryan Hall ended up fourth on the men's side.
