The 2011 ACC Tournament bracket and schedule are set and when play opens Thursday afternoon at the Greensboro (N.C.) Coliseum, North Carolina will be the conference's No. 1 seed. The Tar Heels (24-6, 14-2 ACC) secured the top spot -- their 18th outright ACC regular-season title, and 28th overall -- with Saturday's 81-67 win over Duke. The Blue Devils (27-4, 13-3) are the No. 2 seed in the ACC Tournament.
Florida State (21-9, 11-5) earned the No. 3 seed, with Clemson (20-10, 9-7) in at No. 4. The top four seeds get a first-round bye, and won't play until Friday, Mar. 11, in the quarterfinals.
Boston College (19-11, 9-7), which finished the 2010-11 regular season with three straight wins, earned the ACC's No. 5 seed, and will open play against Wake Forest (8-23, 1-15), the No. 12 seed, and the same team the Eagles beat in dominant fashion on Sunday.
The 2011 ACC Tournament tips off Thursday, Mar. 10, when No. 8 Virginia meets No. 9 Miami at 12 p.m. EST. The ACC Championship Game is set for Sunday, Mar. 13, at 1 p.m. All 11 games will be broadcast on the ACC Network. The Quarterfinals will also be shown on ESPN2, with the Semifinals and Championship Game on ESPN.
