The 2011 NCAA Tournament continues Thursday night, with the first four games of the Sweet 16, beginning with two of the country's best players on display for the nation to see (some for the first time, likely, in Jimmer Fredette's case. The night begins with No. 2 San Diego St. playing No. 3 UConn and Kemba Walker, the MVP of the 2011 Big East Tournament. It's a game that will essentially be a home game for the Aztecs, playing just 100 miles from their campus.
Less than 15 minutes later, No. 2 Florida and No. 3 BYU tip-off on TBS, allowing much of country their first look at JIMMER, the nation's leading scorer with 28.8 ppg.
Later in the night, No. 1 seed Duke takes the floor with No. 5 Arizona and No. 4 Wisconsin battles No. 8 Butler, a game that may not be for the casual fan -- the Badgers are the country's 180th ranked scoring offense, and the 4th best scoring defense. Expect some slow, methodical basketball!
Obviously at this point of the tournament, the matchups are even, with both teams on the relatively same skill level, and Vegas agrees: the biggest spread among Thursday night's four games is the Duke-Arizona contest, where the Blue Devils are 9-point favorites.
