It may still be winter, and still months from the start of a new baseball season, but it's never too early to start talking about college football's next big event on its calendar: spring ball. The spring practice start dates and spring game schedule for Boston College football and the rest of the ACC has been announced, with the Eagles set to begin their 2011 season on March 15.
BC's spring practice kickoff date is around the middle of the ACC -- the Duke Blue Devils open on Feb. 16 (the only school to start in February), while the Virginia Tech have a Mar. 30 start date. The Eagles' spring game is set for Apr. 16, along with Florida St., Miami, N.C. State and Wake Forest.
