UConn Vs. Holy Cross Final Score: Andre Drummond Nets Collegiate-Best 24 To Propel Huskies To Dominating Victory

Freshman center Andre Drummond netted a collegiate-best 24 points and snagged eight rebounds Sunday to help the No. 9-ranked Connecticut Huskies rout the visiting Holy Cross Crusaders, 77-40, in a non-conference contest at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. Alex Oriakhi added 15 points, while Shabazz Napier had team-best 13 assists and four steals for UConn (9-1), which extended its home-winning streak over non-confernece opponents to 40 games.

R.J Evans netted a team-best 15 points for the Crusaders (4-7), which had an early 13-12 advantage in the first half, but couldn't sustain its hot shooting early in the game. Sophomore guard Jeremy Lamb, who scored 10 points for UConn, used a steal followed by a dunk to give the Huskies the lead for good.

Surprsingly, Holy Cross still leads the all-time series with a 20-13 record.

On Thursday, UConn hosts Fairfield at 7 p.m.
