TV Schedule, November 9: NCAA Basketball Is Back, NCAA Football Is MAC

Wednesday's TV schedule, complete with channels and times, customized for the Boston sports fan. Click on any team's name for complete schedules, scores, and previews, plus an active community devoted to your team. All times ET.

The Bruins have the night off and the Patriots don't play until Sunday, but there's plenty of college action on television if you need a live sports fix.

College Basketball

Lehigh vs. St. John's at 7 p.m. (ESPN2) College Basketball! On TV! This is the second game for the Red Storm in the 2K Sports Coaches vs. Cancer Classic. Important programming note: St. John's has a forward named God's Gift Achiuwa, which is the best name ever. If you did not know this, now you do.

More sports viewing options after the jump.

College Basketball, Cont'd

Akron vs. Mississippi State at 7 p.m. ET (ESPNU) In another 2K Sports Coaches vs. Cancer Classic, Mississippi State is looking for its second win of the season against the Zips. But Akron is no pushover -- the Zips have been to the NCAA tournament two of the past three seasons out of the MAC.

Duquense vs. Arizona at 9 p.m. ET (ESPN2) The second nationally televised CBB game of the night (C'mon, ESPNU doesn't count) is a good one. Your chance to catch the new-look Wildcats without Derrick Williams, the No. 2 pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

College Football

Temple vs. Miami (Ohio) at 8 p.m. (ESPN) This matchup would have been a little more interesting if Temple had taken care of Ohio last week. As it stands, the Owls are one back of the Red Hawks and Bobcats in the loss column in the hunt for a MAC championship. A win tonight and a little help and Temple could be looking at its first ever conference title. MAC football!

National Hockey League

Philadelphia vs. Tampa Bay at 7:30 p.m. (Versus) The Bruins are off until tomorrow, but if you need some puck to watch this game should be a good one.
