The Uconn Huskies have to feel good about being tied with Big East rival, the Syracuse Orange, after three quarters, despite committing five turnovers and four penalties for 55 yards.
Outside of the turnover differential both teams have played very similar games. The Huskies have 266 total yards, to the Orange's 316. Time of possession is 23:11 for UConn and 24:09 for 'Cuse.
Husky quarterback Johnny McEntee has completed seven of thirteen passes for a total of 95 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Freshman running back Lyle McCombs has rushed for more than 100 yards for the sixth time this season, racking up 137 on 22 carries, including a long of 63 and one touchdown. McCombs also has a fumble lost, along with Scott McCummings, McEntee – who's accounted for three turnovers single-handedly.
