In a game that looked like it might reach the 90s, Delaware holds a 38-37 lead headed into the break behind 13 points from Devon Saddler. The nation’s leading scorer has knocked down 4-of-6 shots, two 3-pointers and completed one four-point play in just 11 minutes because of foul trouble.
Darryl Partin leads the Terriers with 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting. Travis Robinson added eight points including a big dunk and Dom Morris chipped in with six points and two rebounds. Point guard D.J. Irving added four points and a game-high five rebounds, as the Terriers have 10 assists and just five turnovers. Boston University ended the half shooting 48 percent and hit 5-of-11 threes in the half.
The Blue Hens were shooting more than 60 percent for much of the half and ended at 57 percent including four 3-pointers. Jamelle Haggins, the team’s second leading scorer finished with eight points on a perfect 4-for-4 shooting.
