College Football Rankings, Week 14: Virginia Tech No. 5 In AP Poll

The Week 14 college football rankings were released Sunday afternoon. Did any local schools crack the top 25? Find out.

Despite two SB Nation Boston college football program -- the University of Connecticut and Boston College -- each earning victories this past week, neither school sniffed the AP Poll's top 25 rankings, released Sunday afternoon.

Instead, it was the Atlantic Coast Conference's Virginia Tech, ranked No. 5 in the AP Poll, that made a statement by jumping into the top five. Last week, the Hokies were ranked No. 6.

Meanwhile, West Virginia University (No. 22) is the only Big East Conference school in the top 25.

Overall, LSU remains No. 1, while Alabama, Oklahoma State, Stanford and Virginia Tech round out the AP Poll's top five, respectively. Here's the rest of the top 25 rankings:
