The University of Connecticut football program lost its third Big East Conference game Saturday, a 34-20 drubbing by the University of Louisville, and it didn't help the Huskies in the latest AP Poll, released Sunday.
The Huskies (4-6, 2-4 Big East), along with the rest of the Big East, didn't crack the top 25. Only Rutgers University, West Virginia University and the University of Cincinnati were the only Big East schools that earned votes.
In the Atlantic Coast Conference, Virginia Tech (No. 6) earned the highest ranking, while Clemson University (No. 18) and Georgia Tech (No. 25) were the only other teams to earn a top-25 spot.
Nationally, all year long the Southeastern Conference has dominated the college football rankings, but this week was something else as the league's West Division earned the nation's top three spots. Louisiana State University, the University of Alabama and the University of Arkansas each were ranked No.1-3, respectively.
