The AP poll came out and they did not vote in any Big East teams at all. The closest team to being ranked was the West Virginia Mountaineers and Cincinnati Bearcats who were in the others receiving votes category. West Virginia defeated Cincinnati who was ranked No. 23 at the time of the matchup.
Over in the ACC the Virginia Tech Hokies are the highest ranked team at No. 9 and they were able to move up a spot due to the Boise St. Broncos falling to the TCU Horned Frogs. The Florida St. Seminoles are the only other ranked ACC team this week and come in at No. 23, the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets fell from the poll after losing to Virginia Tech.
