National Hockey League

Bruins vs. Canadiens, 7:00 p.m. (NESN): The Bruins will look to exact revenge on their long-time rivals just two days after the Habs beat them at home, 2-1, to drop the defending champions to dead last in the Eastern Conference. If the Bruins are going to beat Montreal and kickstart their title defense, they're going to have to do a better job of putting the puck in the net. Boston is 26th in the NHL at 2.11 goals per game.

College Football

Boston College vs. Maryland, 3:00 p.m. (NESN): The Eagles are hoping to snap a three-game losing streak and pick up their first win against Football Bowl Subdivision competition this season. For their part, the Terrapins have also lost three in a row and are looking for their first FBS win since beating Miami in the season opener. In a battle of struggling programs, something has to give this afternoon.
