World Series Game 6 Texas Rangers at St. Louis Rams, 8 p.m. (FOX): Tony La Russa's moves got all the attention in Game 5 -- along with a malfunctioning phone in the bullpen. But it was Texas catcher Mike Napoli who delivered the Rangers a win, and a 3-2 series lead, with a two-run double in the eight inning. UConn Vs. Pittsburgh, 8 p.m. (ESPN): The Huskies and Panthers tangle with a shot at getting back to .500 (and 2-1 in Big East games) on the line. UConn is coming off a win against South Florida, meanwhile Pitt looks to bounce back from a loss to Utah. With a win, the Huskies can exact a small measure of revenge on Pitt, which reportedly took UConn's spot in the ACC during the conference expansion gold rush.
• MLS Playoffs: New York at Dallas: The Red Bulls barely snuck into the postseason with a win in their final game against the playoff-bound Union. Can they make it count for something? New York gets its first shot against the Dynamo in the wild card round.
