The Bruins will be without David Krejci for the third straight game Tuesday night despite the fact that the forward skated with the team earlier in the day.
Krejci has been out since October 11, when he suffered a midsection injury during practice before Boston's first game against the Hurricanes. while the Bruins split the two games played without him, Tyler Seguin has filled in admirably at center, scoring against the Hurricanes, and assisting a Nathan Horton goal and putting in the game-winning shootout goal against Chicago. His four shots on goal led the team in each game.
The good news is that Krejci's recent return to the ice during practice seems to have been encouraging. While he's clearly not quite there yet, it wouldn't be too surprising to see him ready by Thursday, when the Bruins will face off against the Toronto Maple Leaves, who currently lead the Northeast Division with seven points in four games.
