New England Patriots Sign Marcus Harrison

The New England Patriots made a pair of roster moves today.  The first was sign defensive tackle Marcus Marrison to replace Mike Wright, who was put on the injured reserve list earlier this week with continuing problems with concussions.  The second move was to release cornerback Phillip Adams.

Harrison had been with the Chicago Bears for the last three seasons, but has not played yet this season after being released by the Bears before the season began.

During his three seasons in Chicago, Harrison recorded 55 tackles, including 43 solo's.  He also has three career sacks. Harrison was drafted in the third round (90th overall) out of Arkansas in 2008.

As for Phillip Adams, it's been an up and down week for the undrafted corner from South Carolina St.  He was released by the team on October 8th, re-signed on October 13th, and now has been released again.  He had yet to make an appearance in a game for the team this season.
