Boston College Basketball Gets Commitment From Joe Rahon

Boston College basketball head coach Steve Donahue has his first commitment in point guard Joe Rahon.  Rahon accepted his scholarship offer to BC over the likes of Georgetown, St. Mary's, Stanford, and San Diego St.

Rahon, who's from Del Mar, California had a breakout summer on the AAU circuit which led to his receiving a plethora of new offers in the last two months.  He's rated as a three-star recruit by recruiting source Rivals.com.

"I chose BC because it has the whole package. The coaches are great, the conference is big time, and it’s top notch academically" Rahon told DeSilva.

The 6'2, 185 pound guard visited Boston College early in September and has been described as a player who has ideal size for a point guard because of his wide frame and has a great feel for the game.  He's also an accomplished long range shooter and should help to give the Eagles some spacing on the floor.
