2010 Red Sox September Call-Ups: Lars Anderson, Josh Reddick On The Way

Lars Anderson and Josh Reddick will join the Boston Red Sox, the latest Paw Sox to receive the call-up for the final month of the season.

SoxProspects.com broke the news about Lars, while Dan Barbarisi confirmed Reddick after he was pulled from the last Pawtucket game of the season.

Lars, the former unanimous top prospect of the Red Sox’ system, recovered from a poor 2009 with a huge start to the year in Portland. Pawtucket hasn’t been quite so easy for the first baseman, but he’s bounced back from a rough start with a few solid months.

Josh Reddick was pulled from his game after hitting a double and a home run—very much indicative of how things have been going for the outfielder this last month. While the first couple months of the season looked like a continuation of the horrible start Reddick had in Pawtucket last year after a major league call up, he’s slowly turned things around before exploding in August, hitting eight home runs while posting a .997 OPS.
