With his five-yard touchdown reception Thursday night against the New York Giants, Patriots rookie tight end Ron Gronkowski reached the endzone for the fourth time in the preseason. His four touchdowns were tops amongst all AFC players, and tied with two in the NFC.
How much playing time Gronkowski sees during the regular season remains to be seen. Veteran Alge Crumpler should have the upper hand to start the year because of his experience, but Gronkowski and fellow rookie Aaron Hernandez could very well be phased into the offense as the season progresses. For now, congratulations to the Arizona product for his outstanding performance during the exhibition season.
