Avery Bradley, the Celtics' first-round pick (No. 19 overall) in the 2010 NBA Draft, is still recovering from his ankle surgery and will not be ready in time for the start of training camp, said GM Danny Ainge on Thursday.
"I don't think Avery will be ready for training camp. He's a couple of weeks away at least," said Ainge, who couldn't offer a definitive timetable." I don't know. It's day-to-day with Avery, so we'll just see how that goes. We certainly won't rush him."
Bradley underwent surgery after spraining his ankle during a workout back in June.
Ainge added, "Pressed on the timetable, Ainge added, "I don't know, it's day-to-day with Avery, so we'll just see how that goes. We certainly won't rush him."
