Bruins Release Eight Players From Training Camp

Prior to Wednesday evening’s preseason game against the Montreal Canadiens, the Boston Bruins released eight players, most of whom will end up in their AHL affiliate in Providence.

According to SBNation’s Stanley Cup of Chowder, goalie Adam Courchaine, defenseman Ryan Donald, goalie Michael Hutchinson, center Levi Nelson, right wing Tyler Randell, left wing Antoine Roussel, left wing Jordan Smotherman and defenseman Cody Wild were released Wednesday afternoon.

Courchaine, Hutchinson, Nelson and Wild have contracts already established with the Providence Bruins, while Donald, Massachusetts bred Smotherman and Roussel will attempt to earn spots on the team in their training camp. Randell will report back to the Kitchener Rangers, where he plays junior hockey.
