New Faces Dot Bruins Roster for Preseason Game Against Montreal

Highly heralded rookie Tyler Seguin will make his NHL preseason debut tonight when the Boston Bruins take on the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre.

Many regulars will take the night off to give newbies like Seguin the chance to be seen in game action. According to a Bruins release this morning, their game roster is as follows:

FORWARDS: Patrice Bergeron, Gregory Campbell, Jordan Caron, Nathan Horton, Brian McGrattan, Daniel Paille, Mark Recchi, Jeremy Reich, Maxime Sauve, Tyler Seguin, Ryan Spooner, Blake Wheeler.
DEFENSEMEN: Matt Bartkowski, Andrew Bodnarchuk, Johnny Boychuk, Matthew Hunwick, Adam McQuaid, Dennis Seidenberg.
GOALTENDERS: Tukka Rask, Nolan Schaefer.

Joe Colborne will not play because of the head injury suffered during last Wednesday’s rookie game, and Andrew Ference is also being held out due to a head injury. Tim Thomas is being held out to rest his surgically repaired hip.

The Bruins will be facing Montreal goaltender Carey Price, as well as former Bruin Hal Gill and former Harvard standout Louis Leblanc, all of whom are the Canadiens’ game roster.
