Goalie Tim Thomas missed both Monday’s intersquad scrimmage and Tuesday’s practice, but Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien says fans shouldn’t panic.
Julien told both Matt Kalman of The Bruins Blog and DJ Bean of WEEI.com that Thomas will practice Wednesday and travel with the team during their preseason game schedule this week. The Bruins are being cautious with the veteran after he underwent hip surgery in the off-season, and Julien told Kalman that he is okay with that plan:
“So it’s no more than just part of the process of giving him a little bit of rest between the workouts. Because again, that’s the only way he can heal properly.”
