Injured Man in Brady Crash Has Back Complications

The lawyer for Rogerio Rodrigues, the injured passenger involved in Tom Brady’s Thursday morning car crash, told Boston reporters today that his client took a turn for the worse over the weekend.

Samuel P. Reef told the Boston Herald’s Jessica Heslam that his client’s condition “worsened” over the weekend, and that he may require back surgery.

The back injury may not have originated with the crash, but may have been complicated by it, stated Reef. The crash occurred when Rodrigues’ son, Ludgero, was driving him to the doctor to have his back injury examined – leading to the back injury never being examined full pre-crash.

Reef mentioned that while Brady has not had direct contact with anyone within the Rodrigues family, he did have flowers sent to Rogerio.

Brady detailed the crash as being “Matrix like” during an appearance on WEEI Monday morning.

“When the cars hit, I saw all the glass kind of explode,” Brady told the Dennis and Callahan Show about the crash. “That was a scary morning for all of us. Man, wear your seat belts. That’s all I can tell everybody. You never know.”
