Mark Herzlich Practices In Pads, Could Play In Season Opener

According to Nick Coman, Mark Herzlich, Boston College’s All-American linebacker, participated in practice for the first time in well over a year on Tuesday.

After missing all of last year recovering from Ewing’s Sarcoma, Herzlich has been held out of action even longer after fracturing a bone his foot. Now, Eagles fans might even be able to look forward to seeing their star defender on the field to start the season. Coach Frank Spaziani, however, emphasized caution.

“We will take each day and evaluate things and see where we are,‘’ said Spaziani. "We’re not going to be foolish. It will be up to him to see how he feels.’’

Boston College is set to start their season Saturday against the Big Sky Conference’s Weber State.
