NFL Preseason, Rams At Patriots: St. Louis Edges New England Despite Three Tom Brady Touchdown Passes, 36-35

Foxboro, MA (Sports Network) – Josh Brown’s 37-yard field goal in the final seconds lifted St. Louis to a 36-35 win over New England in a preseason contest from Gillette Stadium.

Sam Bradford was under center for the first half, going 15-of-22 for 189 yards and two touchdowns for the Rams, who improved to 2-1 in their exhibition slate.

Michael Hoomanawanui posted four catches for 53 yards and two TDs, Brandon Gibson also added a touchdown reception and Keith Toston had 41 rushing yards and a score on 12 carries.

Donnie Avery left following the first half with a right knee injury after two catches for 48 yards.

Tom Brady was lifted early in the fourth quarter but not before going 18-of-22 for 273 yards and three scores for the Patriots, who had won their previous two preseason tilts.

Randy Moss contributed a 65-yard touchdown catch, while Rob Gronkowski added two more TD receptions and Sam Aiken also hauled in a pass for a score.
