On Wednesday, the NHL released its national television schedule for the 2010-11 regular season, which will feature games broadcast on NBC, Versus, CBC, TSN, TSN2, RDS, RIS and the NHL Network.

The schedule begins Oct. 7, with five games, three of which will be broadcast back-to-back-to-back on Versus. The middle game of the 2010 opener will take place in Pittsburgh's brand new CONSOL Energy Center, with the Penguins hosting the Eastern Conference champion Flyers at 7 p.m. ET.

This will also mark the fourth consecutive season that the NHL will start a regular season with games played overseas, which includes the Boston Bruins playing the Phoenix Coyotes at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic (Oct. 9 and 10, on TSN and Versus).

The Bruins will have 11 games broadcast on Versus, according to NHL.com's Dave Lozo.

In all, Versuswill broadcast 78 regular season games this season, which is 13 more than a year ago.
