Shaquille O'Neal Is Coming To Your Neighborhood

Bad news for college bros looking to party with a legend: Shaquille O'Neal won't be moving into a studio apartment in Brighton this fall. He's chosen instead to rent a massive estate in Sudbury, where he can learn the art of mustache maintenance from fellow resident Dennis Eckersley. The Boston Herald's Inside Track has the story:

We hear the Big Shamroq has rented a private hilltop four-dwelling compound on many acres that has all the comforts a star athlete requires - including a par-3 golf course.

It's actually modest by Shaq's standards. His pad on Florida's Star Island reportedly sold for $16 million in 2009. The buyer, Russian billionaire Vladislav Doronin, paid in cash. The 64,000-square foot mansion, which was featured on MTV Cribs, has 11 bedrooms, 13 baths, a cigar bar, indoor basketball court, tennis court, six-car garage, dock, two-bedroom guest house and a pool emblazoned with a Superman logo.

His new place isn't quite as garish, but hey, the economy's still in the tank. Shaq has to cut back, right?

Our spies say the spiffy sanctuary includes a 13-room manor home, a four-season party house, a five-room guest house and a three-room apartment.

And hopefully, a treadmill.
