For the first time in nearly two months, Dustin Pedroia will rejoin the active roster of the Red Sox.
It’s been a longer-than-expected recovery for Pedroia, who went on the disabled list after fracturing his foot with a foul ball in the June 25 game against the Giants.
Pedroia has played only two games in Pawtucket since being cleared by doctors to start his rehab assignment, but has declared it to be “good enough.” He had one hit in six at bats.
