Boston College 2010 Preseason Camp: Eagles Name Captains For Upcoming Season

On Tuesday, the second day of preseason camp, Boston College football named its captains for the 2010 season: Alex Albright, Anthony Castonzo, Wes Davis and James McCluskey were selected with the honor (all seniors).

Albright recorded 32 tackles from the defensive end last season and his eight tackles for a loss ranked second on the team. Castonzo, regarded as one of the top left tackles in the country this season, was an All-ACC and All-America preseason pick and is a Rhodes Scholarship nominee.

Davis started all 13 games at free safety last season and led the team with three interceptions. McCluskey appeared in eight games at fullback last year after recovering from a torn Achilles' tendon in the spring.

The Eagles continue to be without LB Mark Herzlich, who is recovering from what is believed to be a stress fracture in his right foot, as they get ready for a scrimmage Saturday night.
