Celtics guard Ray Allen has provided his initial reaction to the big news of the night: He agreed to terms on a new two-year deal with the Celtics. In interviews with Marc Spears of Yahoo! Sports and Gary Washburn of the Boston Globe, Allen says he is "excited," "happy" and "looking forward" to his future in Boston.
Ray Allen tells Y! on return to Celtics: "I'm excited to be returning as a Celtic. There's nowhere else I would rather be."
Ray Allen to the Globe: "I’m so happy to be returning. I’m looking forward to all the great times ahead." #celtics #NBA
Meanwhile Green17 of SB Nation's CelticsBlog reacts with similar excitement, noting that Celtics general manager Danny Ainge has already accomplished his top three off-season goals.
So far this off-season Danny has signed both Ray and Paul to reasonable deals, and kept Doc. Those were priorities 1,2 and 3 (you pick your own order). Now lets get some front court help to fill the void while Perk rehabs. Get to it Danny, you're on a roll so far.
