It seems that Rasheed Wallace, in fact, may not be retired after all -- but it seems close:
Rasheed Wallace had a conversation with agent Bill Strickland tonight and informed him that is strongly considering retirement but has not yet made a final decision.
"If I had to bet my money, I would say he's done," Strickland said. "But he has not made a final decision yet. But he is leaning toward retiring."
Strickland said the one factor that could encourage Wallace's return would another chance to play for Doc Rivers and with Ray Allen and Paul Pierce for another season. But he also told Strickland during the season that he wants to spend more time with his family. Two of his sons were fixtures in the Celtics locker room this season.
"I suppose he will make a decision in the next couple of days," Strickland said. "He's going to make up his own mind and let me know. If I had to make a prediction, I would say he's going to go in the direction he's leaning in. But nothing is official yet. I will talk to him again soon."
