Stuart Out Indefinitely With Reportedly Broken Hand

Boston Bruins defenseman Mark Stuart is out indefinitely due to an upper-body injury that is reportedly a broken hand. The injury was suffered during the first period of the Bruins 3-2 overtime win against Buffalo Tuesday evening at the TD Garden.

During Wednesday morning's team practice, Bruins coach Claude Julien told reporters that Stuart would be out indefinitely, but mentioned that the team was awaiting test results on his injury. Comcast SportsNet New England's Joe Haggerty reported Wednesday afternoon that Stuart's injury is a broken hand.

In response to the injury, the Bruins recalled Steve Kampfer from their AHL affiliate in Providence. Kampfer, a rookie, has 13 assists this season, and previously played for the University of Michigan. During this morning's practice, Fluto Shinzawa of the Boston Globe reported that Kampfer was paired with Dennis Seidenberg.
