The Celtics (24-6) are back in Boston to take on the Hornets (18-14), hoping to kick their recent 1-2 funk.
They'll have to do it very short-handed, though. Rajon Rondo remains bench-ridden with coach Doc Rivers not ready to return his star point guard to action just yet. Joining him in injury is Kevin Garnett, whose frightening injury in the loss to Detroit will hopefully only keep him out for two weeks.
It's been over ten months since these two teams faced off, with the Hornets coming back from a 12 point deficit at the half to down the Celtics 93-85 in New Orleans. That loss came despite the Hornets playing without Chris Paul, as Darren Collison poured in 25 points against Rajon Rondo.
At full strength, the Celtics would have a very good shot at picking up a win tonight. But with Nate Robinson on Chris Paul, and the bench depleted thanks to injuries to the starting five, a solid Western Conference team like the Hornets should pose a tough challenge.
