NFL Power Rankings, Week 16: Patriots Maintain No. 1 Spot In WEEI Rankings

The New England Patriots have won six straight games, including impressive victories over the Steelers, Colts, Jets and Bears, scored at least 30 points in all six games, have not committed a turnover since Nov. 7 and are in solid position to earn the AFC's No. 1 seed for the playoffs. Want to take a guess who's atop the WEEI NFL Power Rankings for Week 16?

It may not have been a great win against the Packers Sunday night, but it was enough to keep the Pats No. 1 in this week's rankings, just ahead of the NFL's other 12-2 team, the NFC-leading Atlanta Falcons.

It wasn't the prettiest victory but every year people say "Super Bowl caliber teams find ways to win games." The most important quality about this team is that they continue to protect the football. The Patriots have nine total turnovers and a quarterback that hasn't thrown an interception since Week 6. The three-time Super Bowl champs are one win away from locking up the No. 1 seed in the AFC.

After the Falcons, it's the Eagles at No. 3, followed by the Ravens and Jets. The Giants dropped from No. 7 to No. 10 after Sunday's epic collapse to Philadelphia.

The Patriots next two opponents, the Bills and Dolphins, are No. 26 and No. 16, respectively.
