Ian Rapoport is reporting that Stephen Gostkowski could be out two weeks with a strained quad.
The injury actually first appeared before Sunday's game against the Browns started, but Gostkowski attempted to tough it out, only leaving the game after kicking an extra point and a low, bouncing kickoff to the Browns. Wes Welker handled the field goal duties for the rest of the game, converting his only extra point attempt, while punter Zoltan Mesko handled the placekicking.
While coach Bill Belichick was non-committal earlier in the day about finding a temporary replacement kicker, if Gostkowski is going to miss time, it seems very likely that the Pats will make a move, especially with the next two games on the schedule coming against the Steelers and Colts.
