NFL Power Rankings Week 12: Patriots Maintain No. 1 Spot In WEEI Rankings

For the second week in a row, the New England Patriots are atop the NFL Power Rankings at WEEI, who has the New York Jets at No. 2.

The Atlanta Falcons, the third 8-2 team in the NFL, are No. 3 week, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles and the Baltimore Ravens

The Patriots improved to 8-2 with Sunday's win over the Indianapolis Colts, keeping pace with the Jets (8-2) who won in dramatic fashion for the third week in a row. The two are on a Week 13 collision course when New York travels to New England for a Monday night battle on Dec. 6.

We're seeing typical Patriots football from the 2010 Pats. They take away what the opposing team does well and find a way to win each week. Last week, they held the potent Rashard Mendenhall to just 50 yards on the ground. In the win over the Colts, they made Dwight Freeney and Robert Mathis non-factors. On defense, they are making big plays when needed most. The Pats have a total of 18 takeaways.

The Patriots face the Lions in Detroit on Thanksgiving (No. 29 in the Week 12 NFL Power Rankings) and then after the Jets game it's the Bears (No. 11), Packers (No. 7), Bills (No. 28) and Dolphins (No. 18).
