NFL Power Rankings, Week 9: Patriots Top Team In SB Nation's Rankings

The New England Patriots and their NFL-best record of 6-1 are the new No. 1 team in the SB Nation Week 9 NFL Power Rankings. The Patriots beat the Vikings on Sunday to become the league's first (and only) six-win team, which was good enough to bump them up from the No. 2 spot to the top.

They are followed by the Colts, 5-2 and winners of three straight. The Pats host Indianapolis in Week 11 (Sun., Nov. 21).

The Ravens, Packers and Jets round out the top five. With the Dolphins at No. 15, the AFC East can lay claim to three of the top 15 teams in the NFL. They also have to lay claim to the 0-7 Bills, though; however, Buffalo is not the worst team in the league, according to the SBN Power Rankings. That dishonor belongs to the Broncos.

With the addition of Logan Mankins, and to a greater extent, a Week 9 matchup with the Cleveland Browns, expect to see New England holding on to the No. 1 position for at least another week.
