After one week spent in the No. 5 position, the New England Patriots are once again the No. 1 team in the WEEI NFL Power Rankings, taking over the top spot following a dominating win over the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
The Patriots put up 39 points on the league's best defense, downing last week's No. 2 team, 39-26. The loss dropped Pittsburgh to No. 6. It was quite a statement game for New England.
Every NFL team has a bad game. It's how they respond the following week that shows how good they really are. The Pats once again bounced back from a loss, learned from their mistakes, and put a W in the column. Under the leadership of Bill Belichick, the Patriots are now 23-2 following a loss since 2003. The win in Pittsburgh is by-far their most impressive this year. They played physical, mistake-free football and made a statement across the league.
The Patriots are following by their AFC East rival New York Jets at No. 2, then the Atlanta Falcons, Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.
The Patriots' Week 11 opponents, the Indianapolis Colts, check in at No. 9, up one spot from last week.
