College Football Rankings And Standings: Florida State Drops To No. 17, Virginia Tech And Miami Reemerge

Florida State beat Boston College on Saturday, 24-19, needing a fourth quarter touchdown to hold off the Eagles' upset bid. Their reward: was remaining at No. 16 in the AP Poll. This is what the B.C. season has become. 

The Semionles are also still at No. 17 in the USA Today Coaches' Poll

Virginia Tech is back among the living ranked teams, jumping to No. 23 in both the AP Top 25 and the USA Today polls. The Hokies scored 49 points in the first half against Wake Forest en route to a 52-21 dismantling on Saturday. Since dropping their opening two games this season, Virginia Tech has won five straight, and has three of its final five games at home. 

Miami, a week after getting crushed at home by FSU, is back in the polls as well, ranked No. 25 by both the AP and USA Today on the strength of their 28-13 win over Duke.
