It's still six months away, but for most, the 2011 Boston Marathon begins Monday. For those who have qualified, registration opened Monday morning -- and did so at a pace so quick that the Boston Athletic Association site couldn't keep up.
↵↵↵Registration is filling more rapidly than organizers expected, and a rush of entries this morning led to some runners experiencing minor difficulties with the Boston Athletic Association's web site where registration opened today.

To qualify for the Boston Marathon, and join the roughly 26,000 people that will toe the start line in Hopkinton, you just need to run another marathon in 3 hours and 10 minutes -- a pace of about 7:14 per mile, if you're a male between the ages of 18-34. So, good luck.
