It's still six months away, but for most, the 2011 Boston Marathon begins Monday. For those who have qualified, registration opened Monday morning -- and did so at a pace so quick that the Boston Athletic Association site couldn't keep up.↵
Registration is filling more rapidly than organizers expected, and a rush of entries this morning led to some runners experiencing minor difficulties with the Boston Athletic Association's web site where registration opened today.↵
To qualify for the Boston Marathon, and join the roughly 26,000 people that will toe the start line in Hopkinton, you just need to run another marathon in 3 hours and 10 minutes -- a pace of about 7:14 per mile, if you're a male between the ages of 18-34. So, good luck.
