NFL Power Rankings, Week 6: Patriots Drop To No. 3, Jets New No. 1

Idle only in the sense they did not play a game in Week 5 (for they were certainly anything but idle off the field), the Patriots dropped from No. 1 to No. 3 in the latest SB Nation NFL Power Rankings

The Patriots needed this bye week. Here's their next three: Baltimore, at San Diego and Minnesota.

The Jets, on the strength of their Monday night win over Brett Favre and the Vikings, switched spots with the Pats, and are now the No. 1 team.

The Jets dominated the Vikings until the second half on Monday night. With a healthy Darrelle Revis on one side and Antonio Cromartie on the other side, Rex Ryan's blitzing ability is lethal.

The Ravens are No. 2, Steelers No. 4 and Colts No. 5.

Elsewhere in the AFC East: the Dolphins remained at No. 20 on their bye week, while the Bills are still the worst team in the league:

Buffalo, Buffalo, Buffalo. Will they win a game all season? That's a serious question. I'm not sure that they can. The Lions and Browns are a possibility. Maybe the Vikings in Week 13 if they continue to implode and Old Man Favre leaves the team.
