Boston College and UConn go on the road to face conference opponents that have also had difficult seasons thus far, giving the Eagles an opportunity to win for the second week in a row and the Huskies a chance for their first Big East win of the year.
Boston College and UConn have had rough seasons thus far, but both squads have opportunities to pull out a win this Saturday.
The Eagles won their first game of the year against FBS competition last week, snapping a five-game losing streak by taking down an injury-ridden Maryland team on a last-second touchdown. This week, they go up against Wake Forest, who have four wins on the year, but none against quality competition. The Demon Deacons suffered a 42-13 blowout loss against Clemson last week.
UConn has yet to win a conference game this season, but they face a team in the same boat in South Florida. The Huskies are 0-3 in Big East play, while the Bulls are 0-4. The Huskies have a top 25 scoring defense, but are close to last in the country averaging only 17.9 points per game on offense.
Here's how and when to catch the two games:
Boston College vs. Wake Forest, 3:30 p.m., ESPN3
UConn vs. South Florida, 7 p.m., ESPNU/WatchESPN
