Ed Mulholland-US PRESSWIRE
The Patriots are on a five-game losing streak and can clinch at least a tie for the division title this week, but their passing game continues to deal with the injuries.
New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez and wide receiver Wes Welker were both limited in practice on Thursday ahead of the team's game against the Miami Dolphins, according the team's official website. Hernandez is still dealing with ankle issues that stem from an injury in Week 2 against the Cardinals. Welker has been limited in practice for the past month and has yet to miss action, so he will still likely play this weekend.
Hernandez played for the first time in a month against the Jets on Thanksgiving. He caught three passes for 36 yards. Welker grabbed 10 balls in the same game for 71 yards and a touchdown.
As usual, the rest of New England's injury list is long. Tight end Rob Gronkowski didn't participate in practice, and the same went for defensive end Chandler Jones, guard Logan Mankins, and offensive tackle Markus Zusevics.
Linebacker Jerrod Mayo participated full in practice as he recovers from an elbow injury. Full injury report for Thursday below:
