Ed Mulholland-US PRESSWIRE
Four wide receivers were listed as limited in practice Wednesday for the New England Patriots, while starting linemen Dan Connolly, Logan Mankins and Sebastian Vollmer continued to miss practice.
Wes Welker was one of three wide receivers listed as limited in practice Wednesday for the New England Patriots, alongside Julian Edelman, Brandon Lloyd and Matthew Slater.
Edelman is the one whose status is probably most intriguing: he suffered a concussion Thursday against the New York Jets, already having scored one receiving touchdown and recovered a fumble on a kickoff for another. Welker has been listed as questionable for several weeks with an ankle injury, but has managed to play in every game for the Pats this year. Slater also has a concussion, although he's more valuable for his role as the team's gunner on special teams than his role in the passing game, with only one reception on the year. Lloyd has a knee injury.
Not practicing Wednesday were Dan Connolly, Rob Gronkowski, Chandler Jones, Logan Mankins, Sebastian Vollmer and Markus Zusevics. Other notables as limited include tight end Aaron Hernandez, safety Patrick Chung and linebacker Dont'a Hightower.
