The New England Patriots are on the rise in the majority of power ranking polls.

The New England Patriots have risen in the majority of power ranking polls after defeating the Denver Broncos in Week 5 by a final score of 31-21.

SB Nation's power poll curated by editor Joel Thorman has the Patriots listed at No. 6 overall, which is three spots up from last week's ranking. Citing the offense's return to No. 1 overall in the league, Thorman states that he could see the team winning every game until December.

NFL.com also has New England ranked at No. 6, where editor Elliot Harrison focused on Bill Belichick's use of the running back corps and discussed who he may relay on for Week 6's meeting with the Seattle Seahawks.

ESPN.com and CBSSports.com both had the team ranking at No. 5 overall. At ESPN, that moved the team up one spot from last week, while at CBS that counted as a two spot boost. Both sites built upon Thorman's opinion of the offense, with CBS stating that they were the clear favorites to win the AFC East.
