The New England Patriots have the week off exactly halfway through the NFL season, and they could find their half-game lead in the AFC East gone when they return to the playing field as the Miami Dolphins are in action.
The New England Patriots' bye week came at the wrong time, as they would probably rather try to keep their momentum after dominating St. Louis 45-7 last week in London.
The Pats' week off comes exactly at the halfway point of the NFL season. New England currently holds a half-game lead in the AFC East, but it could lose the advantage as the 4-3 Miami Dolphins have a chance to move to tie them with a win over the Indianapolis Colts. Elsewhere in the division, the Buffalo Bills will have a tough challenge as they face the one-loss Houston Texans, and the New York Jets are on bye.
