Tom Brady was named the AFC Offensive Player of the Week after lighting up the Buffalo Bills last Sunday.

New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady earned the AFC Offensive Player of the Week award after beating the Buffalo Bills with an outstanding performance.

As pointed out by Tim Whelan Jr. of The MetroWest Daily News, it's the 21st time in Brady's iconic career he's been so honored with the distinction, tying him with Peyton Manning.

Brady was sensational against the Bills in a critical game for New England, throwing for 340 yards and three touchdowns on 22-of-36 passing en route to a 52-28 victory.

As usual, Brady has been the lynchpin for the Patriots' success, throwing the ball seemingly at will against the opposition. In the four games this year, Brady has amassed 1,227 yards to accompany seven touchdown tosses and just one interception. Currently, he's almost on pace to eclipse 5,000 yards once again.

In the history of the NFL, only Drew Brees has ever thrown for 5,000 yards in two different seasons.
